The ACUPCC Implementer was launched in October 2008 as a monthly resource for campuses working to implement the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment. The ACUPCC Implementer focused specifically on challenges and leadership opportunities across the ACUPCC network, and provided invaluable insights into best-practices around greenhouse gas reporting, climate action planning, student engagement, financing, green building, and education for sustainability.
In order to better meet the expanding needs of the ACUPCC campuses, and other higher education partners working to transform operations, curriculum, and community partnerships for a sustainable future, Second Nature re-designed the monthly newsletter in 2013 to provide resources and educational updates across a variety of topics, including ACUPCC implementation, financing renewable energy and climate projects on campus, capacity-building support for minority-serving and under-resourced institutions, climate resilience programming, and ways to leverage connections across higher education to accelerate learning and change.
