In coordination with national experts, Second Nature's program team has developed the publications and resources to help signatories of the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment implement the commitment on their campuses.

Working with experts from ACUPCC institutions and partner organizations, Second Nature has developed a series of in-depth reports that address many of the interrelated aspects of colleges and universities fulfilling their climate commitments.

The greening of academe has been in process for years, as campus after campus takes on a wide range of initiatives, from alternative energy to zero waste. There are lessons here for companies. In this monthly column, Second Nature offers stories and insights from colleges and universities around the United States.

Starting with the 2013 Annual Report, released in 2014, Second Nature switched from an ACUPCC-focused Annual Report to a more broadly-based Second Nature Annual Report. This change reflects the growing nature of the organization as new programs take shape, and allows for a bigger picture of Second Nature's work and impact.

Second Nature, working with topic experts, has developed resources that provide support in the climate action planning process, such as conducting greenhouse gas inventories, strategic planning, and reporting.

A series of concise briefing papers focused on key issues related to higher education’s role in sustainability. They provide information, ideas, and practical steps to help institutions achieve their sustainability goals.

As the supporting organization for the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment, Second Nature produces the ACUPCC's annual reports. A special edition was produced in 2012 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the ACUPCC.
