On Friday, September 20th, 2013, Second Nature will once again co-sponsor and participate in The New England Campus Sustainability Forum. This year’s theme is “Climate Change & New England Campuses: Impacts and Solutions” and it will take place at Colleges of the Fenway in Boston, MA.

Assessing Campus Vulnerabilities to Climate Impacts (Workshop)

This workshop will provide an overview of climate impact assessment resources using the 2013 National Climate Assessment, and discuss components of preparing a campus and community vulnerability assessment.

Unlocking the Financial Value & Process for the Renewable Energy Puzzle: A Roadmap for Execution (Workshop)

This interactive workshop will help schools access the benefits which renewable energy offers by identifying best practices, discussing innovative procurement mechanisms, understanding the impact and cost accounting of these projects and sharing lessons learned from the region.

Managing Climate Risks Relative to Campus Investments (Panel)

This panel will discuss opportunities and strategies for mitigating climate-related risk in investment portfolios, engaging internal and external stakeholders, and leveraging long-term investments to support current campus sustainability initiatives.
